The car FM transmitter “LAT-FM300U” from Logitec Corporation supports iPod Nano and iPod Mini, as well as other MP3 player with a USB connector. The transmitter is powered by the cigar lighter socket and is available in 6 different colors. You can connect 1 inch HDD as separate USB memory (up to 4GB). The transmitter is USB 2.0 complaint and uses FAT16/32 file system. In addition to MP3 format you can play WMA files also. The bit rate for MP3 is 32~320kbps and WMA - 32~300kbps. As for transmission frequency, it is possible to select from 6 frequencies - 77.0MHz, 77.4 MHz, 77.8 MHz, 88.0MHz, 88.4 MHz and 88.8 MHz. The stereo mini plug makes it possible to connect to media players like iPod etc which is charged while playing music.

With angular adjustment possible, the transmitter measures 146×40×25.5mm and weighs 75g.The Logitec FM transmitter LAT-FM300U will be available by early August for approximately 7,980 yen($68).

Brighton Net Corporation has come out with a new model of FM Transmitter with Memory for iPod nano in two colors-BI-NFM/BK (black) and BI-NFM/WH (white). The FM transmitter is connected to the car cigar lighter socket of 12/24V car. The dock connector with the FM transmitter is locked with the flexible (135mm) arm; the iPod nano can be set to any desired angle. The FM radio wave transmitted by the transmitter is played back from the car stereo. The frequency range is 76-90MHz and the blue back lit LCD display enables to verify the FM frequency while driving at night time.Upto 5 different stations can be stored in memory.

The transmitter weighs 100g with external dimensions- 50 x 18 x 40mm (width × depth × height). Priced approximately 8,800 Yen; it is available from 3rd of February.

The iTrip Auto (GRI-IP-000055) is a FM transmitter with large-sized LCD for ipod from Griffin Technology. The large-sized liquid crystal display in the transmitter section can do frequency setting with 0.1 MHz mark. Two modes -LX mode for stereo music and mode-monaural with Pod casting/ voice memo is possible. Thanks to the back light LCD, operation can be done comfortably even in darkness such as driving at night time to enjoy music with the optimum sound quality.
