Thanko Solar MP4 player comes with an innovative idea of integrating solar panels onto MP4 player so that you won’t run out of juice anytime anywhere. The 4 GB MP4 player with 220 × 176 pixels LCD has excellent display quality for most of the picture format. Other features include built in FM radio, mono speaker (10mw x 10mw (320hw)), voice recorder and built in games. The included software allows you to convert AVI / RM / MPG / VOB / DAT / RMVB files to video format. The player supports MP3/WMA/WAV formats.

The biggest feature of Thanko 4GB Solar MP4 player is the built in solar panels. The solar panels can be pulled out from the body for better charging. On a sunny day (120000 lux) one hour charging will last for 15 minutes of video viewing and 35 minutes of music. The player can be charged via USB and mains. It takes about 5 hours to charge fully via USB mains.

If the built in 4GB capacity is not sufficient, user can store the media files with expansion slot of additional 2GB external SD card (no SDHC support). Thanko 4GB Solar MP4 player-SOLMP4PL is available in Japan for approximately 9,980 yen ($96).

Iriver’s ongoing teaser site has now been updated with a bevy of Spinn images, plus the first Lplayer shots we’ve seen anywhere. All we really picked up from the Spinn shots is that it’ll be available in pure white or brush metal, but the Lplayer shots solved a couple mysteries. It looks like iriver is positioning the Lplayer as a sort of Clix mini, with a 2-inch display surrounded by almost zero bezel, and that same D*Click interface. Iriver looks to be further stressing the simplicity of the device with an ultra-minimal interface, but is spicing things up a little with a color selection of white, purple, brown and cyan.

This brand is known for stylish waterproof gizmos and so the latest from then is also a music player that is a must while indulging in peaceful stress-relieving dip. The Twinbird’s water proof MP3/WMA/CD player christened as Zabady is a sleek, good-looking portable gadget that can be carried where ever you desire …..a bath room, pool, hot tub, or even kitchen. The most useful feature is a USB port inside the sealed case that allows the Zabady to play back tunes from a connected drive of up to 2GB. Here’s a more splashing feature - the IPX7 waterproofing means the player is not only splash-resistant, but can also survive immersion in 1m of water for up to half an hour. So I guess it doesn’t matter if you accidentally drop it on the tub and then forget about it too. BUT pray to god that you realize before it’s too late. It also sports an LCD for displaying track information from digital files. All juiced up this portable music player can dole out tunes for about four hours.

Weighing just 900g, its dimensions are 180 x 80 x 190mm (width x depth x height). However it seems that as of yet Zabady is meant for Japanese shores only and sells for ¥21,000 ($180).
