The new Pentax Optio M60 is a standard-class lightweight, compact digital camera equipped with advanced basic functions. The Optio M60 can be used widely by many different kinds of people in a variety of scenes, and is equipped with the latest scene mode recognition function that allows for even more easy and convenient photography of high-quality images. Inside a compact body that fits into the palm of a hand, the Optio M60 is equipped with an optical 5X zoom lens where an angle of view equivalent to approximately 36mm to 180mm in 35mm format can be obtained. The Pentax Optio M60 also comes with an Intelligent Zoom function that extends the zoom range without compromising the optical zoom’s image quality, enabling for high-magnification zoom photography equivalent to a maximum of approximately 28.5X. The Optio M60 features the Digital SR (shake reduction) mode, which can reduce camera shakes and subject blurring during still-image photography. Movie recording function with shake reduction enabling high image quality rivaling camcorders is possible with Optio M60.




The effective pixel count has been increased to approximately 10.0 megapixels. Pentax Optio M60 with a large, 2.5-inch LCD monitor of approximately 230,000 dots supports PictBridge, DPOF functions, Eixf Print, and PRINT Image Matching III. Optio M60 measures approx. 95 × 55x 23.5 mm, weighs approx. 130g (loaded and ready) and is powered by a rechargeable D-LI78 lithium-ion battery. The camera also comes in 3 different colors, allowing users to select their favorite color.

Honda will begin sales of a new compact minivan, named the Freed, in Japan on May 30, 2008. This new model fuses an easy-to-use and spacious cabin with stylish design.Honda developed Minivan Freed with the goal of creating a minivan that is comfortable and easy-to-use for every passenger and that offers new value by enabling customers to fully and freely utilize this vehicle in activities that meet individual lifestyles ranging from daily transportation to leisure time trips.

Moreover, for the first time in a registration-class Honda vehicle, wheelchair-accessible models are offered in addition to versions with a side lift-up seat and passenger lift-up seat.

Three different versions are offered: the first seven-passenger vehicle in its class featuring captain’s seats in the second row; the first eight-passenger vehicle in its class; and a five-passenger type which offers a large, best-in-class cargo space. With the addition of these mobility assistive models, Honda positions Freed as a vehicle which fulfills the diverse needs of a wide range of customers

Mazda has released updated versions of the Mazda Axela sports compact in Japan. Known as the Mazda3 in overseas markets, the Mazda Axela has earned high praise both in Japan and abroad. All models in the range – including the four-door Axela, five-door Axela Sport and Mazdaspeed Axela – feature fresh improvements and are available from today at all Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealerships nationwide. Two new special edition versions of the Axela Sport, the 23HS and 20HS, which come outfitted with equipment to enhance their sporty pedigree, also go on sale from today. Reduced cabin noise and higher comfort levels have been achieved through the increased use of sound absorbent materials.

The special editions Mazda Axela Sport 23HS and 20HS come with a full complement of sports equipment including 17-inch reflective aluminum wheels, exclusive aluminum pedals, a floating rear roof spoiler and a BOSE sound system. These models also come with black Alcantara and genuine leather combination seat covers and Alcantara door trim. Mazda Axela is available in Japan from 1,510,750 ($14,220) to 2,070,000 yen ($19,485) while Axela Sport from 1,510,750 ($14,220) to 2,410,000 yen ($22,685).
